My little one is crawling - pulling up on objects - getting around - grabbing everything. She is a sweet gentle child. Today she reached for several things that I had to take away from her before she put them in her mouth. A problem that I don't remember having before. Each time I took the item and said thank you and then put her hand down.
Along with attempting chokable cuisine, my little darling manages to land on her face or look up and fall backwards etc while exploring her world. We try to catch her and more often than not one of us gets there before she manages to cause herself pain. However sometimes... imapact occurs... we have learned to say "YAY YAY she's OKAY!" If all of us who are around her clap for her we can normally distract her before her little pucker face turns into tears.
Why am I telling you about my day? It occured to me that these may be the reason my little dears rarely cry. It never becomes their habit. On her own she would cry when something is taken from her that she wants or when she feels pain. But even now we are attempting to keep her quiet and pleasant even when she doesn't get her way or feels discomfort.
